Our latest CinemAddicts Blu-ray giveaway is my Blu-ray review copies of Altitude (Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Liddell, Denise Richards) and Where The Buffalo Roam (Bill Murray, Peter Boyle). The disc will only have been viewed once so they should be in good condition. Entry details below!!
One of the wonderful elements of Captain America: Civil War was its setup of T’Challa’s (Chadwick Boseman) backstory. After his father’s death, T’Challa stepped into action and with Black Panther, he completely steps “into the spotlight.” If you have no idea what that reference means, check out the details below!
It Comes At Night will be the talk of the town, at least for movie buffs, for quite a spell. Its immersive storytelling heralds the distinct cinematic voice of writer/director Trey Edward Shults, and the film’s overall effectiveness should divide many a viewer. Two weeks after watching It Comes At Night, my reaction to the film has wavered back and forth, but I’ve come to a final decision.
I’m giving away my Blu-ray review copy of Criterion’s GHOST WORLD. This Terry Zwigoff/Daniel Clowes collaboration is absolutely supreme imo (w/ great work from Scarlett Johansson, Thora Birch, and especially Steve Buscemi). Entry details below and trust me you want to get in on this one!!
I briefly mentioned on this week’s CinemAddicts (Ep. 71) that I was looking forward to seeing Wonder Woman (Anderson, who’s not exactly a comic book enthusiasts, doesn’t plan on seeing it unless he loses a bet on The Film Vault). I checked out the movie this week and my review is below!
Anderson Cowan, aka the director of Groupers, and myself are back with our monthly show and as Cowan promised, it’s a longer one than usual. I know this doesn’t make up for our weekly input, but check out this week’s show and a brief overview below!!
Hello fellow cinephiles! Sorry I’ve been horrible at posting a Giveaway the last week, but to make up for it I’m offering my Bl-ray review copy of Split and A Dog’s Purpose! Entry details below!!
One of the sad situations re: not having CinemAddicts every week is not getting the chance to praise movies like Alien: Covenant while Anderson amiably scoffs at my viewpoint. The movie was #1 at the box office but made just $36 million. Here’s my spoiler-free take on why Alien: Covenant is worth the price of admission (CinemAddicts listeners – I’m giving this movie four and a half stars!).
